One of the things guests and locals alike love most about Breckenridge is our rich and vibrant art scene. Today I’ll leave my job at our Breckenridge hotel, grab a bite downtown and boogie over to the Riverwalk Center to see Rhiannon Giddens wail on the microphone. On my way through town, I’ll see several art installations which are part of the Breckenridge International Festival of Arts (BIFA) and I’ll stop to throw a couple of bucks in the guitar case of the four-piece bluegrass band doing a pop-up performance in Blue River Plaza. If I’m in the right place at the right time, I’ll even come across one of BIFA’s interactive performances.

We have two new live music venues in town this year and happy hour at the RMU Tavern in the beer garden with live tunes is hard to beat! With local and national acts amped to play shows here, we’re seeing an excellent lineup with shows three times a week. The Historic Brown put a lot of money and effort into creating a great venue and if you like to dance, shows at The Brown are a good bet! We also have super cool performances like the Trail Mix series which sends acoustic artists out to trailheads to delight and entertain hikers!

Breckenridge continues to bring very high-caliber acts to play the Riverwalk Center (just a five minute walk from Wedgewood Lodge). In the past year or so, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to see acts including The Devil Makes Three, Lewis Black, Del and Dawg and Keller Williams.

Main Street Breckenridge is home to three art galleries and nearly every shop, restaurant and hotel in town displays art created by local artists. Most pieces you’ll see in the coffee shop while you wait for your latte are for sale and there’s no better souvenir to remind you of beautiful Breckenridge!

Breckenridge is one of the most visually stunning towns on earth; it’s no wonder all types of artist find such inspiration here!
